Just to make Em jealous.

Particularily yummy, 20 minutes from plant to plate.

And me.

They grow it locally around us in Spain, but half the time they let it rot (smells even worse than rotting cauliflowers) - assume they can't get a price to make it worth picking.

Hey, I'm a well-adjusted human being and the fact that you have beautiful plump cobs while ours are puny and malformed doesn't make me jealous at all. Much. Oh, who am I kidding...

Maybe next year? Our veg patch has done so badly with the rain and the slugs that the only thing we've had are the usual raspberries, a couple of gooseberries and I think a couple of strawberries. Cunning plan required for next year, methinks!!

Enjoy the corn - whatcha doing wiht it?

The fact you are not in Illinois or Iowa or Massachussetts is so cool.

Honestly, until I met you I thought the english only used tinned corn for their bad pizzas.

I hang my head in shame.

Kerrio - of course. How could I forget about the crusts?? Doh!

We have fresh cobs now too!! Our neighbours' friend that gives them stuff off the allotment gave them two cobs! And they always pass on to us anything that they don't like. It was tempting to take a pic of them and lie...
